Here are some of the ice sculptures in Fairbanks at the  World Ice Art

This is a Polar Bear which is about life size, the ice is so clear it looks like glass.
It was -5 or -10 degrees .






This is a Viking Ship around 20 feet tall, note Venus shining between the horns
of the dragon. They have colored lights shining on all the sculptures at night.




Here is a Whale jumping out of the Ice.

New Blog

Hello and welcome to my new Blog!


I am on my way to Bettles ,Alaska to shoot  images of the Aurora Borealis
or the Northern Lights for 5 nights. I will arrive on Wed night Mar 21 in
Fairbanks and will attend the  World Ice Art Championship. Then on
Thursday morning off to  Bettles which is above the Arctic Circle.
